Sustainability at Total Threads
At Total Threads, we aim to make better choices wherever we reasonably can.
We work with established clothing and schoolwear suppliers that include certified B Corporations, UK manufacturers and businesses investing in recycled materials, reduced plastic packaging, responsible sourcing and improved supply-chain standards.
Not every garment has the same environmental credentials, so we avoid making broad claims across an entire range. Where reliable information is available, we include details such as recycled polyester, organic cotton or other responsibly sourced materials within the individual product description.
Choosing clothing that lasts
Durability is an important part of sustainability.
School uniform, workwear and team clothing should withstand regular wear and washing. A garment that lasts longer and can be reused or passed on creates less waste than one that needs replacing frequently.
When selecting products, we consider quality, fit, wash performance, comfort and long-term value as well as the materials used.
Reducing waste
We encourage customers to check size guides carefully, follow garment-care instructions and repair minor damage where practical.
Outgrown school uniform may still have plenty of life left in it. Where possible, we support passing garments on through families, schools or pre-loved uniform schemes.
Branded clothing can also often be reused within the same school, business, club or organisation.
Packaging
Orders need suitable packaging to keep garments clean and protected during delivery.
We aim to use only the packaging reasonably required and favour suppliers that are reducing single-use plastic or moving towards recycled and recyclable alternatives.
